Week 40, day 3: Clean.
I decided a couple of months ago that I wanted a maid to clean our apartment before the baby came. This was an exceedingly wise decision. Dave and I are fairly good at keeping things clean, but we do get the lazies from time to time and certain areas of our home get quite, well, yucky. Enter Bucket o' Suds.
Last Monday I left the key under the mat and an envelop with money at the top o
f our stairs. Dave and I thought there were equal chances that we'd come home to a ransacked apartment as a cleaned apartment. Things went in our favor, and at 4:30 I opened the door and breathed in the wonderful, refreshing smell of cleaning chemicals. It was so wonderful because I was not the one who had used them. I explored the house with wide eyes and discovered the best thing of all--the bathtub. Dave usually cleans the bathroom in our house (we have a system) and he does a good job, but I think he’d admit that he’s no professional. We both stared in wonder and tried to figure out how they got the porcelain so gleaming white. I’ve taken three baths in the past week. It was worth every cent.

So glad you did that Jen....there were just a couple of things on my list....a clean house was one.....and a nice pedicure for momma-to be.
My neighbor let her kids color her toenails with permanent markers and went into labor that night. No need for the pedicure, just get a pack of colored markers and let your husband go to town on your piggies. Hope your Haven comes soon. We are having a blizzard in Michigan..perfect delivery weather. I'll be praying for a baby soon for you!
Ooohhh! I'm gonna come take a bath at your place. You know how much I LOVE a clean bathtub!
Labor has begun! Just thought I'd share the info. Push em out, push em out, waaay out!
P.S. Hope those nails got painted (or colored)!
